The objective of this
service offering is to provide service to assist XYZ Corporation (XYZ) with its
migration and upgrade of CA-Top Secret for VSE security product from release
2.3 to release 3.0. This upgrade
involves a complete replacement of the previous Top Secret product and entails
new product concepts and administration techniques.
Specifically, the
following tasks will be performed during this service offering:
1.
Escalation:
The consultant will assist with the resolution of known and/or outstanding
issues concerning the Top Secret security product and the conversion
process. The consultant will utilize
internal CA escalation and other contacts to enhance resolution of issues.
2.
Conversion:
The consultant will assist with the security database conversion, the use of
the CA-provided migration tool, and the technical process involved with
migration from Top Secret release 2.3 to release 3.0. This assistance will
provide knowledge transfer and enhanced quality assurance. The consultant will help execute and verify
each step of the security database conversion and product migration
process.
3.
Migration:
Once the security database has been converted and all migration steps
understood, the consultant will provide onsite support during the production
migration to the new Top Secret security system. The consultant will provide knowledge
transfer, troubleshooting, and administration assistance.
4.
As-needed
Technical Consulting Support: The consultant will provide technical assistance
on an as-needed basis to assist the Top Secret product upgrade and to generally
assist the overall systems upgrade being performed by XYZ. This technical assistance will include
day-to-day advice and intervention that assists XYZ is completing its upgrade
objectives. This assistance will
largely be performed offsite and remotely via telephone and/or dialup system
access. Time will be tracked by the XYZ consultant on an hourly basis and
reported weekly.
